In the Parelli world of natural horsemanship we quite often hear reference to the saying from George Burns "Good, Better, Best -Never Let It Rest-Get Your Good Better And Your Better Best!" In his work with Parelli students Todd Owens epitomizes the virtues of this saying. It is this approach that encourages one to learn more and step out of individual comfort zones.
Todd and Maureen Owens open up their facility, The Horseman's Word Ranch, to provide a very supportive learning environment. It is a place for Parelli students to bring their horses to learn and grow. The ranch, along with Todd and Maureen’s approach to natural horsemanship, allows Parelli students to interact with one another as we all strive to put the relationship with our horses first.
As I delve further into the principles and fundamentals of Parelli Natural Horsemanship I am encouraged with the progress my horse, Poncho, and I have made. It is when those special moments of trust and willingness shine through that I am inspired to continue on the path of learning. Putting the relationship with my horse first is my focus.
